Ferragosto

@fabiopappalettera

Ferragosto is a feast of ancient Roman origin, modernly celebrated on August 15 in the Italian geographical region.

The day of August is traditionally dedicated to trips out of town with lavish packed lunches and, given the seasonal heat, to refreshing baths in marine, river or lake waters. The exodus to mountain or hilly locations, in search of refreshment, is also widespread.
