Porto Recanati

@Pyson

The town of Porto Recanati owes its origin to Potentia, a Roman city founded between 189 BC. and 184 BC by the triumvirs Marco Fulvio Flacco, Quinto Fulvio Nobiliore and Quinto Fabio Labeone.

The first detachment from Recanati occurred in medieval times, more precisely in 1229, when Emperor Frederick II of Swabia ratified the possession of the lands that went from Musone to Potenza, authorizing the construction of a new port and structures to defend it, including which the Swabian Castle.
